We catch up with Brendan from 'The Madisons' who tells us more about their wedding band and what they can offer you for your special day.
Tell us a little about 'The Madisons'. How long are you guys together as a band playing at weddings?
The Madisons consist of five members each of who have been playing in various bands and touring acts for over 20 years. Forming in 2015 as 'The Madisons' we have combined our experience and talent to create a band with a unique sound, edge, and confidence in our performance. In a few short years' we've become one of the most sought after wedding bands in Ireland and were voted Hot Press 'Wedding Band to Want' in 2019.
Is there a song that's most requested for a first dance and what if I wanted to choose something a little different?
'The One' by Kodaline is probably most requested first dance choice and in particular, Nigel’s version’s of it as performed on The Voice of Ireland final. There are other very popular first dance wedding songs however we also love to hear requests from couples for first dance songs that are unique and different. We'll happily learn a song or two for you and have it perfected for when you take to the dance floor for that all-important first dance memory. My guests will consist of all age groups & musical tastes. How can we ensure that there's something for everyone when it comes to music?
We aim to keep the dance floor full for the entire night and will play something to suit all age groups throughout the night. A usual concern for couples is can we also play to suit all ages and musical tastes, which of course we can. The best thing about being experienced musicians is that on request we can play everything from Modern Pop to Waltzes, from Jives & Quicksteps to Country. If your wedding guests are looking for some Rock & Pop no problem, and if someone wants a Modern Chart Hit we can do that too.
We are also looking for ceremony music and a DJ. Can you also provide this?
Nigel & James can provide beautiful music for Church or Civil Ceremonies as part of our package options. We can also provide a DJ who will set up when the band is setting up and be ready to go as soon as the band plays their last song of the night.
